Fried Bread – Filipino Style (Binangkal Recipe)

Ingredients:
2 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
3/4 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. water
2 tbsp oil
Sesame seeds

Preparations:
1. Sift together dry ingredients.
2. Mix brown sugar, water and oil then add to flour mixture. Mix until well-blended.
3. Using a teaspoon, take small bits of batter then roll in sesame seeds.
4. Fry in deep hot oil until golden brown.

    Thanks–needed the spelling of Binangkal. My uncle learned to make these by experimenting. Recipe is similar and very delicious. Your recipe looks similar to his.

    Now looking for the Filipino donut twists that my grandma used to make. Don’t know what they’re called in Filipino. Do you have?

    helloo! thanks for posting the recipe im craving for this.i’ve been trying to look for this recipe and i actually try this right now…sooo yummy,but u know what, i used 2tbsp.butter instead of oil and added a pinch of salt….smells and tastes good!
